Media access and offline playback

The app reads compatible encrypted media, artwork, filenames, and related media information from folders you select on the TV or connected storage. Media is decrypted in memory for playback. The app does not edit, delete, or upload your original media, and it does not create decrypted media files.

A system folder picker can grant access to a selected location. On TVs without a working picker, Android’s All files access setting allows the app’s read-only browser to find media on mounted drives. You can revoke storage permissions in Android settings. Access is used to browse and play local media.

Settings and Android media controls

The app keeps selected folder references and display names, language preferences, and applicable appearance settings on the device. Playback and artwork use memory and bounded in-memory caches.

To provide Android playback controls and media notifications, the app supplies track titles, duration, and playback state to Android’s media system. Notification permission, where requested, is used for playback controls.

Collection, network use, and sharing

This release has no Internet permission or app-operated cloud service. It does not transmit your media or personal data to ETLA LLC. It does not create user accounts or include advertisements or analytics.

ETLA LLC does not sell or share your media or personal data through the app. Android, Google Play, and the TV manufacturer operate separate platform services and may process store activity or diagnostics under their own privacy policies.

Security, retention, and deletion

Media is processed locally, decrypted playback stays in memory, and the app’s internal media provider is not exported to other apps. Android backup and device-transfer rules exclude the app’s private data.

Saved folder references and preferences remain on the device until you remove them, clear app data, or uninstall. Use Storage in the app to remove remembered folders and Settings to change the app language. You can clear app data, revoke file access, or uninstall through Android settings. These actions do not delete your original media on shared or removable storage. ETLA LLC holds no server-side copy of that local app data to delete.

Email support

If you email sa.cs2cd@gmail.com, ETLA LLC receives your email address and the message, attachments, or diagnostic details you choose to send. We use this information to answer your request and troubleshoot the app. Email is processed by the email providers used to deliver and store the correspondence.

Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and maintain support records. You can request deletion of your support correspondence at the same address; information required for legal obligations or resolving disputes may need to be retained. Please do not send passwords or recovery phrases.

This website and external services

This public policy and the Dualscan OS website are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs and stores visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. See the GitHub Privacy Statement. The website does not add analytics, advertising trackers, or account registration.

Opening this page or emailing support uses your browser or email service separately from the offline player. Links to Google, GitHub, and other services are subject to those providers’ policies, including Google’s Privacy Policy.
